Distance from Sidbury A Road to Hogans Trail

I want to make acceleration measurements. I needed a straight section of road that was relatively flat. I also wanted recognizable landmarks to time travel between the two points. Sidbury road near US Highway 17 looks like a good candidate, Figure 1.

Two side roads, Sidbury A and Hogans Trail are about ⅜ of a mile apart. I don't have a surveyors tape that long. I decided to use Google Maps and Bing Maps to measure the distance between them.

I measured the distance between Sidbury A and Hogans Trail multiple times, see Table 1. I calculated the mean and standard deviations for each map. They are both within about a standard deviation of each other. I then took the average and calculated its standard deviation.
